Mental Health and Wellness

Guidance on seeking and finding the right support for you.

Your Well-being Matters

Navigating a career transition or facing job insecurity is incredibly stressful. It's essential to prioritize your mental and emotional health during this time. Seeking support is a sign of strength and a critical step in managing the challenges you face.

Check Your Department's Resources

One of the first places to look for support is within your own organization. Most law enforcement agencies offer confidential mental health services, such as counseling or therapy, through Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) or similar initiatives. These resources are specifically tailored to the unique challenges faced by first responders.

Contact your HR department or union representative to learn about the confidential support services available to you.

In Case of Crisis

If you or someone you know is in immediate crisis, please reach out to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline by dialing 988 or visit 988lifeline.org.
